The White Room transforms throughout the day with the changing light that streams through our teal-curtained windows. At lunchtime, sunlight warms the polished wooden table where up to 30 guests can gather for seated dinners, while evening brings a softer glow from our pendant lamps that sets the perfect mood for cocktail parties. We've kept the original Victorian character intact here, from the decorative fireplace that anchors the room to the botanical prints that line our light blue walls. The wooden floors have witnessed countless celebrations, and we've found this space works brilliantly whether you're planning a formal dinner or a relaxed drinks reception for up to 70 guests standing. Our events team particularly loves working in The White Room because its layout adapts so easily. For seated dinners, we arrange our classic wooden chairs around the long table, creating an intimate setting where conversation flows as freely as the wine. When hosting cocktail receptions, we clear the centre, allowing guests to mingle while our staff circulate with canapés fresh from The Grill Room downstairs.
