Wine glasses catch the light from our first-floor windows as you climb the stairs from Neal's Yard, leaving the cobbled streets behind for something altogether more intimate. The First Floor transforms throughout the day, from soft morning light filtering through to the warm glow of evening, when our geometric-patterned carpets and dark wood panelling create the perfect backdrop for your celebration. We've furnished this space with deep armchairs in rich greens and comfortable sofas in midnight blue, arranged to encourage the kind of conversations that flow as naturally as the wine. Our striking bar area, complete with sleek stools, becomes a natural gathering point where guests can watch our sommeliers at work, selecting from the 400 bottles we've collected from small French producers. The room accommodates 30 guests, whether you're planning a seated dinner or standing reception. Our high-speed Wi-Fi and PA system handle any technical requirements smoothly, while air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable regardless of the season. The versatile layout means we can adapt the space to suit milestone birthdays, engagement parties, or company celebrations, each finding its own rhythm in our carefully designed interior. Our kitchen sends up boards of artisanal charcuterie and cheese, beef tartare prepared the traditional way, and what regulars call our 'Posh Madame' with truffle ham and quail egg. Everything pairs beautifully with wines our sommeliers select specifically for your event, whether that's an undiscovered Burgundy or something surprising from the Loire.
