The oak tree that towers over our Summer Garden has been here longer than any of us, its branches creating a natural canopy that transforms throughout the seasons. Behind The Regent Balham's main bar, you'll find this outdoor haven where we string fairy lights through the branches, turning evening parties into something rather special. The garden comfortably holds 150 guests for standing receptions or 100 for seated dining, with rustic wooden tables and an eclectic mix of colourful chairs that somehow all work together. We've watched countless celebrations unfold here, from raucous birthday parties that go on until closing to relaxed Sunday afternoon gatherings where friends linger over sharing plates from our kitchen. The space catches the afternoon sun beautifully, and when British weather cooperates, those large umbrellas provide just enough shade. As evening approaches and temperatures drop, our outdoor heaters keep everyone comfortable, meaning your October birthday party can still happen outside if you fancy it. The wooden fencing creates a sense of privacy from the surrounding streets, though you're still just a two-minute walk from Balham Northern Line station.
