Fornasetti's whimsical wallpaper greets you as you step into our Conservatory and Terrace, where hanging ferns cascade from the glass ceiling and natural light floods every corner. We're part of Hotel Xenia in Kensington, just minutes from Gloucester Road tube, and this particular space has become our most requested for celebrations. The conservatory works beautifully for different party styles. We can arrange seating for 35 guests around our wicker-furnished tables for birthday dinners or anniversary meals, while cocktail parties flow naturally with up to 50 people moving between the indoor space and our heated terrace. The glass walls and ceiling create an almost greenhouse feel, with potted plants adding to the garden atmosphere that photographs wonderfully for those Instagram moments. Our terrace extends your party space considerably. Even in February, guests love stepping outside with their drinks, wrapped in the blankets we provide while our heaters keep the chill at bay. Many groups use both areas throughout their event, perhaps starting with prosecco and canapés on the terrace before moving inside for dinner. The flow between spaces happens naturally through the wide doors. For celebrations, we've noticed our tapas-style sharing plates work particularly well, encouraging conversation as dishes arrive throughout the evening. Our kitchen also prepares full three-course dinners when you prefer something more formal. The wine display along our walls isn't just decorative, it showcases our Italian collection, including those organic bottles our sommelier gets rather excited about. Afternoon tea parties have become increasingly popular here too, especially for hen dos and baby showers. Being so close to the Royal Albert Hall means we often host pre-concert gatherings, timing everything so your group reaches their show relaxed rather than rushed. The combination of greenery, artistic wallpaper and comfortable seating creates an atmosphere that feels special without trying too hard.
