The Editor's Room sits tucked away from the main bustle of our Victorian gin palace, offering a more intimate setting for your celebration. Exposed brick walls frame the space, where we've hung a carefully chosen collection of framed artwork that tells the story of Fleet Street's publishing past. Long wooden tables run the length of the room, crafted from the same rich timber that features throughout our 1840s building. We can arrange the space for 40 seated guests around these communal tables, perfect for birthday dinners where everyone wants to catch up properly. For drinks receptions and more casual celebrations, we fit 60 people standing comfortably, with plenty of room to mingle between the brick alcoves. Natural light streams through during daytime events, while evening gatherings take on a warmer glow from our period-appropriate lighting. The room comes equipped with everything you need for presentations or entertainment - a large flatscreen TV mounted on the wall and quality audio equipment that actually works when you need it. We've kept the Victorian character intact while adding proper heating, air conditioning, and reliable Wi-Fi throughout. Our kitchen serves the same award-winning pies and proper British fare you'll find in the main pub, with seasonal small plates available for standing events. The bar team brings through selections from our 90-strong gin collection, rotating cask ales, or whatever your group prefers drinking. We assign dedicated staff to look after your event, so you're not queuing at the main bar or hunting for service. Just steps from Blackfriars Station, guests find us easily whether they're coming from the City or further afield. The Editor's Room works equally well for milestone birthdays, leaving drinks, or any celebration where you want your own space without losing the authentic pub atmosphere.
