Cast-iron columns stand between tables in our Group Dining room, just as they have since Victorian times. Those original brewery features, the vaulted brick ceilings and exposed walls, create an atmosphere that feels both historic and intimate, particularly when you gather 25 people around our long wooden tables. We've arranged this space specifically for groups who want to eat and celebrate together. The dark leather seating runs along communal tables, encouraging the kind of dinner where plates get passed, stories get shared, and everyone feels part of the same conversation. Vintage maps and historical prints line the brick walls, telling the story of this old Watney-Combe brewery building while soft lighting keeps things warm and welcoming. Our kitchen sends everything out family-style in cast-iron skillets, which naturally gets people reaching across the table and breaking bread together. The beef comes from The Ginger Pig, British and aged for 35 days, while our seafood selection changes based on what the fishmongers bring us each morning. We've found this sharing style works brilliantly for birthday dinners, corporate celebrations, or any gathering where you want people mixing rather than stuck in formal seating arrangements. The parquet flooring and those polished Victorian columns give the room its character, but we've added the practical touches too. The air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable even when conversations heat up, and the Wi-Fi actually handles a full room of guests without dropping. We can adjust the table layout depending on your group's needs, and there's proper wheelchair access throughout.
