The Train Carriage beckons from its corner of our 1940s underground world, where up to 40 guests can gather in what feels like a secret meeting spot frozen in time. We've recreated an authentic tube carriage right down to the moquette-patterned seats that line both sides, those distinctive geometric designs that any Londoner would recognise from decades of Underground travel. Wooden trunks serve as your tables here, stacked and arranged just as resourceful wartime Londoners might have done during an air raid. The space wraps around you with its curved walls and intimate lighting, creating pockets of conversation while vintage advertisements and period posters tell stories of rationing, victory gardens, and keeping calm. That familiar rattle and hum of the Underground has been replaced by the cheerful chatter of your gathering, though the atmosphere remains decidedly subterranean. Your group can spread across the authentic bench seating while our team brings rounds of black market hooch and plates of proper British grub, beer-battered cod and doorstop sandwiches that fit the setting perfectly. The carriage maintains its own identity within the larger venue, giving you privacy for toasts and speeches while staying connected to the energy beyond. Just minutes from Oxford Circus Station, getting here couldn't be simpler.
