Red brick walls catch the afternoon light as you enter the Chapter Hall Event Space, our industrial sanctuary above Northern Monk brewery. We've kept every original detail of this Grade II listed building - from the flagstone floors that have weathered centuries to the wrought iron pillars that divide the room into natural gathering spots. The space transforms throughout the day. Morning events benefit from streams of natural light through our large windows, while evening celebrations see the exposed brick walls take on a golden warmth under our string lights. We've hosted wedding receptions where 100 guests dined beneath these historic beams, then cleared the floor for 200 people to dance until closing. Corporate teams have used our flexible layout for everything from product launches to workshop sessions, arranging the space in theatre style for 100 or classroom format for 70. Our private bar serves Northern Monk beers brewed directly below your feet - you might catch the scent of fresh hops as you celebrate. The bar team knows each beer's story and helps guests discover new favourites throughout the night. For speeches and presentations, our PA system includes two microphones, while the ceiling-mounted projector handles everything from wedding photo montages to business pitches. We work as your blank canvas. Some couples embrace the raw industrial character, adding just candlelight and flowers. Others completely transform the space with draping and uplighting. The neutral backdrop adapts to any vision, whether you're planning an intimate cabaret setup for 80 or a standing reception for 180. Located in Leeds' Old Flax Store, we're a ten-minute walk from Leeds Station. The venue sits on the upper floor (no lift access available), but we are pet-friendly - your dogs can join the celebration alongside your other guests.
