The Assembly Hall's soaring Italian marble walls create an immediate sense of occasion when you first walk through the doors. We regularly transform this Victorian auditorium from morning conferences for 750 delegates to evening wedding receptions where 300 guests dine beneath the ornate Matcham-style balcony. Our removable theatre seating gives you complete control over your event layout. Last month we hosted a tech product launch using the full 750-seat capacity, then cleared the floor the following evening for a 500-person cocktail reception. The raised stage, measuring 10.3 x 4.4 metres with its own separate entrances, works brilliantly for everything from wedding bands to corporate presentations. Those grand arched windows flood the space with natural light during daytime events, while our lighting rigs create whatever atmosphere you need after dark. We've equipped the hall with high-speed Wi-Fi, professional PA system, projector and air conditioning, though honestly, it's the acoustics in this space that really impress, the marble walls and high ceilings create remarkable sound quality without any amplification needed. Our location means your guests can reach us easily from Old Street or Shoreditch High Street stations, both just a few minutes' walk away. We hold an alcohol licence until midnight and welcome external caterers, so whether you're planning a formal banquet or relaxed standing reception, you can work with your preferred suppliers.
