Floating canals and butterfly gardens might sound like a fairytale, but at the Floating Pocket Park, we've made it reality on 730 square meters of the Grand Union Canal. Tony Woods designed our space to bring something extraordinary to Paddington Basin, where raised flower beds overflow with nectar-rich plants that draw butterflies throughout summer celebrations. The park spreads across the water with open lawns perfect for mingling and decked walkways that guide your guests between different areas. We can welcome up to 120 people for standing receptions, with our contemporary pavilion providing both sunny-day shade and shelter when London weather shifts. Climbing plants wrap around the pavilion's structure, creating natural photo opportunities that capture the essence of your celebration. Your party unfolds against canal views and striking architecture, while our dedicated wildlife island adds unexpected moments, herons and moorhens often make surprise appearances during events. The water beneath creates gentle movement and reflection that transforms throughout the day, from afternoon garden parties to evening celebrations as lights dance on the canal surface. We've installed free Wi-Fi across the entire floating platform, letting guests share their experience as it happens. The combination of being minutes from Edgware Road station yet feeling completely removed from city rush makes planning here refreshingly simple. Corporate drinks receptions flow naturally across our decked platforms, birthday celebrations spill onto the lawns, and wedding parties find intimate corners among the planted borders. Whether you're toasting achievements with colleagues or celebrating milestones with friends, our floating garden offers what no traditional venue can: the sensation of hosting your event on water, surrounded by nature, right in the heart of London.
