When the weather cooperates, our Outside Terrace transforms into one of Bayswater's hidden gems for open-air gatherings. This peaceful corner of the hotel opens up to accommodate 50 guests for drinks receptions or creates an intimate dining experience for 20 around our weather-resistant tables. We've arranged the terrace with versatility in mind. Wicker sofas with deep cushions anchor one end, perfect for guests who prefer to settle in with their drinks, while dining tables occupy the central area. Potted plants create natural boundaries between spaces, and the mature greenery overhead provides dappled shade during afternoon events. As evening approaches, the terrace takes on a different character entirely, with ambient lighting creating pockets of warmth against the London sky. The terrace works particularly well for summer birthday parties, engagement drinks, and corporate socials where guests appreciate the option to step outside. We've hosted everything from champagne receptions to BBQ gatherings here, with our kitchen adapting menus to suit outdoor dining. The bar service runs directly to the terrace, so your guests won't need to venture inside for refills. Being just five minutes from both Queensway and Bayswater stations means your guests can easily find us, even if they're not familiar with this quieter pocket of W2. The residential setting keeps noise levels civilised, though the terrace layout naturally encourages conversation and laughter. Our team handles the weather contingencies, with indoor backup spaces available should London's famously unpredictable climate intervene. The terrace furniture stays out from April through October, though we've certainly had memorable December mulled wine parties when the forecast allowed.
