At The Bull, we've been throwing parties since the 1830s, so when we restored The Mezzanine upstairs, we knew exactly what makes a celebration work. This semi-private space sits above the main pub, reached by our original spiral staircase, giving your party its own world while keeping you connected to the atmosphere that makes our Victorian pub special. Those distinctive wrap-around windows are the first thing people notice, flooding the room with natural light during afternoon gatherings. Come evening, our restored period lighting creates the kind of warm glow that makes everyone look good in photos. We've arranged the space to work however you need it, with room for 50 guests standing with drinks in hand, or 38 seated around our spacious tables for a proper dinner. The mix of relaxed sofa seating and dining areas means your guests can move between catching up over cocktails and sitting down for the main event. Our kitchen team puts together everything from sharing boards loaded with pub favorites to full sit-down menus, with vegetarian and vegan options that our regulars actually order by choice. The bar stocks local craft beers alongside the classics, and we're happy to sort welcome drinks or run a tab for your group. We've added the practical bits too, including air conditioning for those packed summer parties, WiFi that actually works, and a PA system for speeches or your carefully curated playlist. Being right on Upper Street, just moments from Angel Station, means your guests won't struggle to find us. There's paid parking nearby for those driving in.
