Push past the bookcase at the back of The Little Orange Door and you'll discover The Games Room, where corporate teams battle it out on our original Nintendo 64 and birthday groups take over the colourful sofas for hours. We've watched countless Mario Kart championships unfold here, complete with victory laps around the coffee table and accusations of blue shell sabotage. The room fits 25 guests standing or 14 seated around our dining setup, though most parties end up mixing both as the night progresses. Those plush velvet sofas in jewel tones always draw people in first, especially the emerald green corner piece that's become the unofficial throne for birthday celebrations. Above them, neon lights cast a warm glow across walls decorated with everything from vintage concert posters to that violin nobody remembers hanging but everyone loves. Corporate groups particularly love booking this space for team events. Last month alone we hosted three different tech companies whose "quick meeting" turned into four-hour strategy sessions fuelled by our cocktail menu and fierce Goldeneye tournaments. The flatscreen works brilliantly for presentations, though we've noticed it mostly gets used for YouTube tutorials when someone insists they remember all the Mario Kart shortcuts. Birthday parties here tend to start civilised with our sharing plates spread across the coffee table, then gradually evolve as guests discover the board game collection. We keep Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly and Cards Against Humanity ready, though fair warning: Monopoly has ended more friendships than we can count. The semi-private setup means you get your own space whilst still catching the energy from downstairs. With WiFi, air conditioning and full disabled access, plus our kitchen serving until late, everything's sorted for your event. Just a two-minute walk from Clapham Common Station, groups often extend their bookings once they settle in, particularly when someone's just taken the lead in Mario Kart.
