When you book the Whole Restaurant Hire at Robun, both floors become your private domain, creating an extraordinary backdrop for weddings, milestone birthdays, or company celebrations across Bath's most distinctive Japanese dining space. Your event unfolds across two characterful floors that together accommodate 90 standing guests or 80 seated diners. The ground floor dining room centres around our open kitchen, where guests can watch our chefs work the traditional charcoal grill. Those lucky enough to sit at the Chef's Table experience the theatre of Japanese cooking up close, flames dancing as meat and vegetables sear to perfection. Hand-painted murals depicting Kanagaki Robun, the father of yakiniku, sweep across the walls, their bold strokes creating conversation pieces throughout your event. Upstairs, the Kanagaki Suite adds another dimension to your celebration. This versatile space includes its own cocktail bar, perfect for pre-dinner drinks or late-night revelry. We can configure the dark wooden tables and geometric-patterned surroundings however your event demands, from long banquet tables for wedding feasts to cocktail arrangements for corporate receptions. Our bar becomes a focal point for many celebrations, stocked with over 30 sake varieties and rare Japanese whiskies you won't find elsewhere in Bath. Our bartenders craft cocktails using yuzu, shiso, and other Japanese ingredients that complement the robata-grilled menu. Whether your guests prefer classic nigiri or adventurous robatayaki combinations, our kitchen adapts to dietary requirements whilst maintaining authentic flavours. Modern amenities like adjustable lighting, air conditioning, and WiFi blend seamlessly with traditional Japanese design elements.
