The Livery Hall Step into The Livery Hall and you're immediately struck by the sheer scale of this magnificent first-floor space, where centuries of London's history breathe through every detail. As Painters' Hall's largest room, we've watched countless celebrations unfold beneath our soaring ceilings, from lavish wedding receptions to milestone corporate gatherings. Natural light pours through our remarkable stained-glass windows, each pane telling its own story through the coats of arms of Liverymen who've served as Lord Mayors of London. These windows transform throughout the day, casting different patterns across the polished wooden floors as the sun moves across the City skyline. When evening arrives, our crystal chandeliers take over, their adjustable lighting creating exactly the atmosphere your event demands. Royal portraits line our walls, their subjects watching over proceedings from the late 17th century through to today. These distinguished paintings, combined with other historical artworks from our collection, create conversation points throughout the room. We've found guests often pause between courses or during networking breaks to admire these pieces, each one adding gravitas to your occasion. The space itself adapts brilliantly to different formats. We can arrange seating for 200 guests at round tables for an elegant dinner, set theatre-style rows for the same number attending a presentation, or clear the floor entirely to welcome 320 people for a standing reception.
