When Tom Kirk's chandelier catches the afternoon sun, 1,200 glass cylinders cast patterns across our Balcony Room walls, where twenty Matisse lithographs bring bursts of colour to the elegant green panelling. We're up on the top floor at Swan London, Shakespeare's Globe, and this penthouse space has become the setting for some remarkable celebrations over the years. The French windows run floor to ceiling, opening directly onto our private balcony. Your guests will step outside with their drinks, phones coming out immediately to capture St. Paul's Cathedral across the Thames. The Globe sits right below us, and we've watched countless wedding photographers use these views to create something special. The natural light transforms throughout the day, from bright morning meetings to golden hour birthday parties. That oak table at the room's heart has its own story - crafted from a tree that fell during the Great Storm of 1987. We've seen it laid with birthday cakes, anniversary champagne, and corporate presentation materials. The private bar means your bartender stays dedicated to your event, whether you're hosting 36 for an intimate dinner or 120 for a standing reception. Our lift brings guests straight up, and the private cloakroom keeps the space uncluttered.
