We keep the Mary Read Boat moored just off our Number 90 terrace, and honestly, watching guests' faces light up when they realize their party is happening on an actual canal boat never gets old. This converted vessel has become our most requested space for intimate celebrations, and once you step aboard, you'll understand why. The boat's interior strikes that perfect balance between polish and personality. Sunlight streams through the windows that run along both sides, bouncing off the reflective ceiling and warming the wooden floors below. During evening events, the whole space transforms as the canal lights reflect off the water, creating this moving pattern of light that our regular clients specifically request for their dinner parties. For seated dinners, we arrange long communal tables that comfortably fit 30 guests, though we've discovered the sweet spot is around 25 when everyone wants to properly chat across the table. Standing receptions work brilliantly too, with up to 80 people flowing between the bar area and the open deck spaces. The built-in PA system means your playlist fills the space perfectly without overwhelming conversation. What really sets the boat apart is the roof terrace, weather permitting, we can seat 40 up top for meals or accommodate 60 for drinks receptions. Our bar team has perfected the art of boat service, navigating the compact galley to keep glasses full throughout your event.
