Draped floor to ceiling in vintage carpets and Flemish tapestries, the Textiles Room feels like stepping inside a Victorian traveller's tent pitched somewhere between Marrakech and Mayfair. We've covered every surface with textiles collected from Frank Fogg's supposed adventures, creating a cocoon-like space where 45 guests can gather for drinks and conversation away from the main bar area. The fabric-covered walls and ceiling muffle sound beautifully, making this our most intimate party space. Groups often claim the room for milestone birthdays or engagement celebrations, drawn to how the tapestries create natural conversation corners. Our vintage bar, wrapped entirely in Persian rugs and kilims, serves as both a functional drinks station and a talking point, particularly when our bartenders pour cocktails into the antique vessels we keep behind its carved wooden panels. Warm light from Victorian table lamps picks out the rich reds and golds in the hanging fabrics, while the air conditioning keeps things comfortable despite all the textiles. We've tucked a flatscreen TV behind one of the tapestries for presentations, though most parties prefer to let the room's atmosphere work its magic without screens. The PA system handles background music or speeches equally well, with the fabric dampening any harsh acoustics. For seated events, we arrange up to 20 guests cabaret-style among the cushioned banquettes and leather armchairs. The room connects directly to our main Pawnbrokers Counter, allowing your party to flow between spaces or keep the Textiles Room as a private retreat. Just minutes from Leicester Square station, our Soho location puts you at the centre of London's nightlife, though once inside this textile cave, the city feels pleasantly distant.
