This 13th-century open-air arcade wraps around our peaceful grass quadrangle, creating an extraordinary atmosphere for gatherings of up to 160 seated guests or 400 standing. Natural light pours through the ornate stone tracery during daytime events, while our carefully positioned lighting transforms the space after dark, casting dramatic shadows across the ancient stonework. The covered walkway protects your guests from unpredictable British weather while maintaining that wonderful sense of being outdoors, making it particularly magical for summer receptions. We've thoughtfully integrated modern conveniences without disturbing the medieval character. Our PA system ensures speeches carry beautifully beneath the vaulted ceiling, and Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected. The space flows naturally for drinks receptions, with guests wandering between the Gothic bays, discovering architectural details that have survived since the 1200s.
