The Mound Stand Terrace crowns the upper level of our iconic stand, where 350 guests can gather beneath a striking tented canopy that recalls the charm of village cricket pavilions. We designed this outdoor space to capture everything magical about summer entertaining at Lord's, with sweeping views across the entire ground that never fail to spark conversation. From up here, your guests experience the cricket ground from a privileged vantage point, watching shadows lengthen across the pristine pitch as evening approaches. The distinctive canvas roof creates an intimate atmosphere while keeping the space open to summer breezes, and when the sun sets, the terrace transforms into something quite spectacular under subtle lighting. We find the terrace works brilliantly for cocktail parties where guests naturally gravitate towards the glass balustrades, drinks in hand, taking in the view. Corporate summer parties feel refreshingly different from the usual hotel terraces, while celebration drinks take on extra significance with the historic pavilion as backdrop. The elevated position means you're removed from ground-level activity yet still very much part of the Lord's atmosphere. Our team has hosted everything from product launches that use the dramatic setting to full advantage, to relaxed networking events where the view does half the work of breaking the ice. The space flows naturally, encouraging movement and mingling without creating bottlenecks, even when we're at full capacity. The covered design means we can work with unpredictable British weather, though nothing beats a warm evening when the terrace truly comes alive. St. John's Wood station sits just ten minutes away through the pleasant residential streets, making arrival straightforward for guests coming from across London.
