Walking through the heavy wooden doors into our Bar, you're immediately struck by the contrast of exposed stone walls against deep blue paneling, a combination that captures Edinburgh's architectural heritage in one intimate space. This room has witnessed countless celebrations over the years, from milestone birthdays where friends gather around the fireplace to corporate drinks receptions that spill across the polished wooden floors. We've designed the Bar to work brilliantly for different group sizes. For seated dinners, we comfortably accommodate 30 guests, perhaps for a birthday celebration or anniversary party. When you're planning something more fluid, like cocktail parties or networking events, the space opens up for 60 people to mingle freely. The fully stocked private bar runs along one wall, its blue panels providing a sophisticated backdrop as our bartenders craft drinks throughout your event. Natural light pours through the large windows that line one side of the room, particularly stunning during summer evening parties when the setting sun bathes everything in golden light. As darkness falls, the original fireplace becomes the focal point, creating that warm atmosphere that transforms ordinary gatherings into memorable occasions. For presentations or party entertainment, we've installed a projector, flatscreen TV and PA system that blend seamlessly with the historic features. The flexible layout means we can arrange furniture to suit your specific needs, whether that's theatre-style seating for speeches or scattered high tables for drinks receptions. Getting here couldn't be easier from Edinburgh's south city centre, with free on-street parking available and paid facilities nearby for larger groups.
