Bright papel picado banners flutter overhead as you take in the full expanse of Barrio Angel, where 130 guests can lose themselves in our tropical world. We've transformed this Essex Road space into something that feels miles away from London, with hand-painted tiles climbing the walls in blues, yellows and terracotta, each one different from the next. The bar anchors the room, its shelves lined with mezcals and tequilas that catch the light from the colourful lanterns above. Our bartenders work their magic here, muddling fresh mint and lime while Latin beats pulse through the space. Those whimsical umbrellas suspended from the ceiling aren't just decoration, they create pockets of warmth that draw people together over cocktails and conversation. We've arranged the space to flow naturally from arrival drinks to dancing. High stools circle the bar for those first catch-ups, while our famous booths offer corners for groups to settle in with sharing platters of tacos and tostadas. The murals surrounding you tell stories of street markets and carnival nights, painted by artists who understood exactly what we were trying to create. When the music kicks up, usually around nine, the central floor transforms.
