Our Lounge combines the comfort of a private members' club with the practicality needed for modern events, making it equally suited to corporate gatherings, birthday celebrations, or relaxed evening receptions. Rich leather sofas and well-worn armchairs create natural conversation areas throughout the room, while the original fireplace adds warmth to winter events and serves as an elegant backdrop for summer drinks. The eclectic artwork, including that distinctive portrait, gives the space personality without overwhelming it. High ceilings with their original moldings mean the room never feels crowded, even when we host standing receptions for up to 50 guests. For more intimate gatherings, we can arrange the furniture to seat eight comfortably, perfect for private dining or focused discussions. The adjoining Study Room works brilliantly as a service area for tea and coffee, keeping the main space clear for your guests to move freely. Natural light pours through those large windows overlooking Russell Square, though we have adjustable lighting for evening events too. Russell Square Station sits just moments away, with Holborn and Kings Cross St. Pancras equally close for those coming from further afield. The British Museum and University College London are both within easy walking distance, placing you right in Bloomsbury's cultural center. I had an incredibly good experience booking a meeting room with CIEE Global Institute-London. All the staff from the Bookings Team, to Reception and Catering made this a very pleasant experience. Helpful, friendly and accommodating - would definitely book again!
