The Nave is where history meets celebration in the most spectacular way. This magnificent space inside our Grade I listed church showcases Nicholas Hawksmoor's architectural genius with its soaring columns and intricate moldings that have watched over gatherings since 1730. Natural light pours through the large arched windows, illuminating a space that can welcome up to 550 standing guests or seat 150 comfortably, depending on your celebration style. The striking stained glass window creates a kaleidoscope of colours across the room, while the original wooden pews and our red chairs offer flexible seating arrangements. We can configure the space for classroom, banquet, theatre, or cabaret layouts, adapting perfectly to wedding receptions, galas, award ceremonies, or exhibitions. The grand pulpit and altar area provide a dramatic focal point, whether you're exchanging vows or making speeches. Our technical setup includes a PA system, projector, and Wi-Fi, all ready to support your event without fuss. The exceptional acoustics, a happy accident of Hawksmoor's design, make live music sound incredible, which is why we regularly host concerts here. Film crews love the space too, you might recognise it from BBC's "Call the Midwife". We welcome external catering, and you're free to bring your own alcohol and music, giving you complete control over your celebration's atmosphere. The high ceilings and open layout create an airy feeling that works beautifully for both intimate gatherings and grand occasions. Just a short walk from Westferry Station in Tower Hamlets, East London, with paid parking available nearby, getting here is straightforward for your guests.
