Our Mezzanine space transforms from a buzzing corporate conference venue by day to an atmospheric celebration space by night, all while maintaining the character of this historic Commonwealth Bank building. The dedicated bar that anchors this upper level has become something of a talking point among our regular event hosts, particularly when our bartenders start mixing bespoke cocktails for arrival drinks. The space comfortably seats 140 guests for formal dining, though we often reconfigure the layout depending on what you have in mind. Those plush banquettes along the walls work brilliantly for networking events, while the central area opens up beautifully for dancing when birthday parties and wedding receptions take over the evening. The warm wooden flooring and contemporary lighting create just the right mood, whether you're hosting a product launch or celebrating a milestone anniversary. What really sets The Mezzanine apart are those grand arched windows we inherited from the original Georgian architecture. During daytime events, natural light floods across the space, giving your photographs that perfect glow. Come evening, the city lights provide a stunning backdrop as your guests enjoy canapés and cocktails from our fully stocked bar, complete with draught beers and an extensive spirits collection. Our events team regularly transforms this space for everything from corporate briefings with presentation screens to festive Christmas parties with DJs spinning until our midnight license. The kitchen downstairs sends up anything from elegant canapé selections to full banquet menus, all prepared fresh that day. We're moments from Bank Station, making it easy for guests arriving via DLR, Underground or national rail. Rather than charging venue hire fees, we work on minimum spend arrangements, which our corporate clients particularly appreciate when planning their budgets.
