The moment your guests arrive at Arch 1, they step into a Victorian railway arch that has witnessed over a century of London life. We've kept the soul of this historic space intact while creating something truly special for wedding celebrations. The original station clock from our days as Shoreditch Railway Station still marks time on the wall, watching over celebrations just as it once watched departing passengers. Our exposed Victorian brickwork curves overhead in that distinctive arch shape, creating natural intimacy even when we're hosting up to 80 guests for a seated wedding breakfast. The industrial lighting trusses we've installed cast a warm glow across the brick, and we love how couples use this interplay of light and texture to create their own atmosphere with candles and florals. What makes Arch 1 particularly special for weddings is its versatility. We can arrange tables for an intimate dinner of 80, or open up the space for 200 guests during cocktail receptions. The ducted air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable whether you're dancing until midnight (our standard license time) or hosting a summer ceremony. Our high-speed internet means photographers can upload shots in real-time and distant relatives can join via livestream. Behind the scenes, we maintain proper cloakroom facilities for your guests and a loading bay that makes those early morning flower deliveries straightforward. Our production office becomes your wedding coordinator's command centre for the day. The beauty of our Old Street location is that wedding guests arriving from across London can reach us easily from the station, and your wedding party might even use our 18 square metre billboard space for a welcome message.
