The Water's Edge Room catches the best light at any hour, with windows on two sides framing 42 hectares of lakes and meadows where herons fish just metres from your celebration. We've hosted everything from wedding receptions to milestone birthdays here at the London Wetland Centre, and this particular space has become our most requested for good reason. Step through onto the wooden decked balcony with your guests, drinks in hand, watching the sun set across the water. The room itself accommodates your party perfectly, whether you're planning an intimate gathering of 50 for a seated dinner or opening up the space for 200 guests at a cocktail reception. Those wooden beams overhead add warmth to the room, while our modern lighting creates exactly the atmosphere you're after as day turns to evening. We've equipped the space with everything your celebration needs: a full bar where our team serves throughout your event, professional sound system for speeches or dancing, and projection equipment if you're planning to share memories or presentations. Our licence runs until 01:00, giving you proper time to celebrate without watching the clock. Our in-house catering team knows this room inside out, timing courses perfectly whether you're hosting a formal banquet for 120 or casual canapés. They work with you to create menus that suit your celebration, from elegant three-course dinners to relaxed buffets. Getting your guests here couldn't be simpler.
