The Elegant Historical Livery Hall stands as the crown jewel of our venue, where four centuries of celebrations have unfolded beneath magnificent stained glass. When wedding parties first walk into this grand space, they often pause mid-conversation, taking in the rich oak paneling that has witnessed countless love stories since the 1600s. We've welcomed up to 400 guests for champagne receptions here, with the gleaming oak floors reflecting light from the expansive stained-glass windows overhead. For seated dining, we comfortably accommodate 205 guests, though many couples prefer the intimacy of 150-180, which allows for a more spacious dance floor later in the evening. The armorial banners and shields add splashes of crimson and gold against the wood, while ornate plasterwork crowns the high ceilings above. Our Minstrels' Gallery has become a favourite spot for string quartets during ceremonies and jazz bands during receptions. The acoustics, refined over centuries, mean your first dance music fills every corner without overwhelming conversation. We're fully licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can exchange vows where you'll later cut your cake and share your first dance. The layout adapts beautifully to your vision. Some couples arrange long banquet tables down the centre, while others prefer round tables that encourage mingling. The adjoining Stock Room provides an intimate space for your evening bar, and our hidden garden offers a peaceful retreat for photos or summer drinks, something rather special this close to St Paul's Cathedral.
