The grand marble foyer announces your arrival with 1930s chandeliers casting patterns across the walls, while portraits of former mayors line the staircase like silent witnesses to decades of celebrations. We've hosted everything from elaborate Asian weddings to corporate galas in this Grade II-listed building, and the combination of our two interconnected function rooms creates possibilities that most venues simply can't match. The Civic Hall forms the heart of our space, with its original 1930s sprung maple flooring that bounces just enough under dancing feet. Wood-panelled walls rise to meet our built-in stage, where red velvet curtains frame everything from wedding ceremonies to live performances. We can seat 280 guests here for dinner, though many couples prefer cocktail-style receptions where 400 guests can mingle comfortably. Our lighting system transforms the room completely, we've seen it shift from bright daylight for afternoon ceremonies to moody purples and golds for evening celebrations. Through the connecting doors, our Banqueting Suite adds another dimension entirely. This second hall accommodates 250 seated guests and connects directly to our commercial kitchen, where your chosen caterers can work their magic. Being a dry hire venue means you control everything, no markup on drinks, no restricted supplier lists, just bring whoever creates the food and atmosphere you want. The Robing Room downstairs locks securely and gives wedding parties their own private sanctuary. We've seen it used for everything from pre-ceremony nerves to midnight card games. The adjoining Twyford Room naturally becomes the bar area for most events, positioned perfectly between both main halls. Transport couldn't be simpler with Wandsworth Town station nearby, and evening guests love that parking opens up after 5pm on weekdays. Weekend events enjoy free parking all day, right outside our doors.
