Our Performance Square transforms from peaceful plaza to pulsing festival ground, depending on what you bring to this 2,371.5m² outdoor canvas. Right outside our curved glass walls, this open-air venue wraps around the building, giving your guests those famous Tyne views while the Millennium Bridge creates a dramatic backdrop for any celebration. We've hosted everything here, from summer music festivals with 2,000 dancing fans to craft markets spreading across the square. The space flows naturally around our Foster and Partners architecture, creating different zones perfect for food trucks, market stalls, or performance stages. When bands plug into our outdoor power points and the music starts echoing off the glass facade, the whole quayside comes alive. The square works brilliantly for daytime events too. Corporate fun days spill out here with team challenges and BBQs, while charity runs use it as their start and finish line.
