We've hosted countless celebrations in this room at the Red Lion, where pastel-coloured chair sashes add soft touches of colour against the crisp white covers, creating exactly the romantic atmosphere couples envision for their day. Our wedding facilities accommodate 60 guests comfortably for your wedding breakfast, with space expanding to welcome 120 loved ones for evening celebrations. The warm glow from our wall sconces combines with chandelier lighting to create that perfect ambiance as day turns to evening. We often see couples choosing tall floral centerpieces or our sparkling decorative trees to add height and drama to their table settings, transforming the space to match their vision. The character of our historic building shines through even in our function spaces, where original oak beams remind guests they're celebrating somewhere truly special. Just off the A57 and only a mile from Junction 31 of the M1, we're wonderfully placed for guests travelling from Sheffield or further afield. Many couples appreciate that their loved ones can easily reach us, then stay overnight in one of our 30 en-suite bedrooms, including our dedicated bridal suite. From intimate ceremonies to lively evening receptions, we've seen this space transform for every style of celebration. The flexibility of our layout means we can arrange tables for formal dining or clear the floor for dancing as your evening unfolds. Our location near Bolsover Castle and the Peak District also gives your photographer stunning backdrop options, while guests staying over can explore these local treasures the next day.
