Red carpeting meets polished parquet flooring in the Luncheon Room, where Georgian windows frame the Temple Gardens like living paintings. We've kept the original ceiling moldings and crystal chandeliers that have watched over legal celebrations since barristers wore powdered wigs, but added the air conditioning and AV equipment your event actually needs. The room tells its own story through classical paintings and that rather magnificent fireplace, which creates an intimate atmosphere even when we're hosting 120 guests for cocktails. Natural light pours through those tall windows during daytime events, while evening gatherings take on a different character entirely when the chandeliers catch the light and the gardens fade to shadows outside. We configure the space based on what works for you: 62 for formal dinners where conversations flow as easily as the wine, 70 in theatre style when presentations matter, or 120 mingling with drinks in hand. The room connects directly to both our Main Hall and Parliament Chamber, so larger celebrations can spill naturally between spaces without anyone getting lost. Our technical setup includes everything modern events require: projector, flatscreen TV, PA system, and reliable WiFi throughout. The lift serves all floors, making accessibility straightforward rather than an afterthought. Our in-house catering team knows these spaces inside out, whether you're planning boardroom refreshments or a full dinner service, with bar service available until 11pm. Temple and Blackfriars stations both sit within easy walking distance, while those famous gardens outside provide the kind of backdrop that makes evening drinks memorable.
