The Joule Room honours one of Manchester's most celebrated scientists, James Prescott Joule, whose groundbreaking work in thermodynamics changed our understanding of energy forever. We've positioned this meeting space on the second floor of our New Warehouse, where original exposed brickwork and wooden beams frame your discussions with authentic industrial character. Morning meetings here benefit from generous natural light streaming through the large windows, keeping your team energised and focused. We've arranged comfortable theatre-style seating for up to 30 delegates, though we can reconfigure the space for boardroom sessions of 15, classroom layouts for 12, or U-shaped arrangements accommodating 12 participants. For more informal gatherings, the room works beautifully for receptions or banquet-style events hosting up to 30 guests. Our technical setup includes a prominent presentation screen positioned for clear visibility from every seat, complemented by full audio-visual equipment. We maintain reliable Wi-Fi throughout, and the air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable during intensive workshop sessions or summer presentations. While we haven't installed dedicated video conferencing equipment, the room excels for in-person meetings where face-to-face interaction drives the agenda. Previous clients have praised our continental breakfast service and working buffet options, noting how these refreshments help maintain energy levels during full-day sessions. Our events team coordinates all catering requirements, ensuring your chosen menu arrives precisely when needed. Reaching us couldn't be simpler, with Deansgate station just minutes away and Manchester Airport providing easy access for international delegates. The surrounding historic buildings, including our Grade I listed structures that once formed the world's first passenger railway station, provide unique talking points during breaks. We find this heritage setting often sparks creative thinking and memorable discussions that extend well beyond the meeting room walls.

We had an all day meeting at the Science and Industry Museum and couldn't fault the venue. We had the 22 seater Lovell room with the continental breakfast and the working buffet, both were great. We would use again.
