Our venue's former life as a Victorian eye hospital left us with some remarkable meeting spaces, and Sassicaia might be the most characterful of them all. The crystal chandelier catches morning light through tall windows, while original wooden floorboards creak with 140 years of stories beneath your feet. We've arranged Sassicaia around a polished wooden table that seats 20 comfortably for boardroom meetings, though we can reconfigure the space for 35 in theatre style or 24 for banquet dining. Those leather chairs? They're the kind you actually want to sit in for a three-hour strategy session. The fireplace, though no longer in use, remains a handsome focal point, while contemporary artwork and a bespoke mural add unexpected touches of colour to the walls. When discussions get intense, the French doors open directly onto our courtyard, a proper breathing space away from laptops and presentations. Back inside, the flatscreen TV handles presentations smoothly, and yes, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, Victorian walls and all. We're in the Jewellery Quarter, so Snow Hill station is just a short walk when your team arrives from London or Manchester. Our kitchen can handle everything from working lunches to celebration dinners, with menus adapted for vegan, kosher, gluten-free, and halal requirements, because dietary preferences shouldn't dictate who can attend your meeting. The room works equally well for training sessions, team workshops, or those hybrid meetings where half the group joins virtually. If you're staying overnight, we have 66 rooms upstairs, each with its own quirks courtesy of the building's heritage. Free parking too, which in central Birmingham feels like finding treasure.
