The Riverside Suite serves as our workhorse meeting room, hosting board meetings, strategy sessions and training workshops week after week. Twenty delegates fit comfortably around the boardroom table, with enough elbow room for laptops, notebooks and coffee cups without feeling cramped. We've kept the décor deliberately neutral here, letting your presentations take centre stage rather than competing with busy wallpaper or artwork. The blue patterned carpet adds just enough visual interest while the green chairs bring a splash of colour that photographs well for those inevitable LinkedIn posts. Our recessed ceiling lights provide consistent illumination across the entire room, eliminating those awkward shadows during video conferences. The projector and screen handle everything from PowerPoint decks to video presentations, and we've positioned them so everyone gets a clear view without craning their necks. While this particular suite doesn't have windows, many groups actually prefer the controlled environment, it eliminates glare on screens and keeps everyone focused on the task at hand rather than watching boats drift down the Ouse. Being ten minutes from York Station means your London-based team can catch the 7am train and still make a 9:30am start. Manchester and Edinburgh colleagues find the journey equally straightforward. Once they arrive, the suite's position within our venue means quick access to coffee breaks in the lobby, where those river views provide a refreshing mental reset between sessions. The boardroom setup works particularly well for decision-making meetings where eye contact matters. We regularly host executive committees, departmental planning sessions and supplier negotiations here.
