Our historic farmhouse atmosphere makes the Markfield room particularly special for smaller meetings. This intimate space works beautifully for teams of up to 12 people who need somewhere quieter than our larger Charnwood Suite, with the same character you'll find throughout our 1672 building. Rich rust-coloured drapes frame the windows, letting daylight warm the cream walls while you work. We've furnished the room with red-cushioned chairs around a central table, creating a professional setup that feels more like a private dining room than a corporate meeting space. The traditional décor, complete with framed artwork and classic light fixtures, reflects the heritage of our venue while keeping everything practical for modern business needs. We provide all the essentials: projector and screen for presentations, flipchart with stationery for brainstorming sessions, and reliable free Wi-Fi throughout. The room adapts well to different setups - whether you prefer boardroom style for 12, theatre arrangement for up to 25, or U-shaped for collaborative workshops. Many groups particularly appreciate how the traditional features, from exposed beams visible through doorways to period details in the furnishings, create a more relaxed environment than typical conference facilities. During breaks, your team can stretch their legs in our restaurant and bar areas, where open fires and rustic brickwork continue the farmhouse feel.
