Our farmhouse dates back to 1672, and walking through these doors, you'll feel that history in every beam and brick. Here at the Fieldhead Hotel in Markfield, we've kept the character of this traditional country building while making sure everything works perfectly for today's meetings and events. The Charnwood Suite is where most of our business guests spend their time. We can set it up for 50 people if you're planning a more formal ceremony-style meeting, or arrange it for up to 100 guests for evening networking events. The space has plenty of natural light, and we've installed all the tech you'll need - though the exposed beams and rustic brickwork give it a warmth you won't find in typical conference centers. Many groups appreciate being able to use our restaurant and bar areas for breakout sessions or informal discussions. The open fires create a relaxed atmosphere that seems to help conversations flow more naturally than in sterile meeting rooms. We serve proper British food throughout the day, and our bar stocks real ales alongside the usual coffee and tea service you'd expect during meetings. We have 28 guest rooms if your team needs to stay overnight, each one decorated differently but all with en-suite bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. For those bringing their laptops and working between sessions, every room has a decent desk space. We're also one of the few business venues that welcomes dogs in certain rooms and public areas - surprisingly popular with companies doing team away-days. Getting here is straightforward - we're in Markfield village with free parking for all attendees. Leicester city centre is close by, and if you want to add some team-building activities, Bradgate Park and Stoneywell are practically on our doorstep.
