The oak paneling gleams under distinctive green pendant lights in our Billiard Room, where Charles Rennie Mackintosh's original design creates an atmosphere that transforms ordinary meetings into memorable experiences. This second-floor space, easily reached by lift, combines the warmth of its historic character with everything modern business requires. Originally conceived as a gentlemen's retreat in 1903, the room now serves as one of our most versatile meeting spaces. Rich purple accents complement the dark wood throughout, while the beautifully tiled fireplace serves as a focal point that grounds the room in its Art Nouveau heritage. We've carefully integrated contemporary technology, including high-speed Wi-Fi, projector, flatscreen TV, and PA system, without disrupting the architectural integrity that makes this space special. The room adapts effortlessly to your requirements, whether arranging 61 delegates in theatre style for presentations, setting up classroom format for 32 participants, or creating an intimate boardroom configuration for 24. For evening receptions, we can accommodate 60 standing guests, with our alcohol licence extending until 11pm. The plush, cushioned bench seating along the walls provides comfortable spots for networking between sessions. Our in-house catering team prepares everything from working lunches to formal dinners, with Scottish-inspired cuisine that complements the Glasgow setting. Many clients particularly appreciate how the room's atmosphere, with its warm lighting and historic details, helps foster productive discussions and engaged participation. The convenient bathroom facilities nearby and our attentive staff ensure your event runs smoothly from start to finish. Being centrally located on Sauchiehall Street means your attendees can easily reach us via multiple transport links. The combination of accessibility, historic significance, and modern functionality makes the Billiard Room particularly suited for corporate presentations, board meetings, training sessions, and professional gatherings where setting matters as much as substance.

J

Great location, friendly staff. A bit overpriced due to COP26.

C

A fantastic setting in a central location. The staff and Mackintosh at the Willow were friendly and helpful and the facilities were perfect for our meeting. Watch out for the busker outside as the music could sometimes be a bit disruptive
