The Large Common Room at William Goodenough House catches the morning light through its full-length windows, transforming meetings into something rather more pleasant than the usual conference room experience. We've hosted everything from board meetings to training workshops in this space, and the natural light flooding in from both east and west sides keeps everyone alert and engaged throughout the day. Those windows frame our Fountain Quad, where water features create a peaceful backdrop that tends to spark better conversations during coffee breaks. The room spans 11.6m x 11.6m with soaring 6.4m ceilings, giving your presentations room to breathe. Our parquet flooring and period chandeliers remind you this is Bloomsbury, not some anonymous business park, while our projector, screen and PA system handle all the technical requirements of modern meetings. We can arrange seating for 120 in theatre style when you need maximum attendance, or create a more collaborative atmosphere with cabaret tables for 60. Board meetings work beautifully here too, with space for up to 45 around the table. The room opens directly onto the Fountain Courtyard, so delegates naturally spill outside during breaks, coffee in hand, continuing their discussions by the water features. Our venue sits on the north side of Mecklenburgh Square, putting you within easy walking distance of King's Cross, Russell Square and Euston stations. Your attendees will appreciate not having to navigate complicated journeys to reach us. The Large Common Room operates Monday through Friday, maintaining the professional atmosphere business meetings require while offering something genuinely different from the standard hotel conference room.
