The Sitting Room lives up to its name, feeling more like the drawing room of a grand Victorian residence than a conventional meeting space. We've carefully preserved the original 1885 architectural details, from the ornate cornices to the working fireplace that serves as the room's focal point, complete with its imposing mirror above the mantelpiece. What makes this space particularly special for meetings is the magnificent bay window that curves along one wall, flooding your discussions with natural light while offering views across our manicured lawns. The dual aspect windows mean you'll never need harsh overhead lighting during daytime sessions, and those classic chandeliers create just the right atmosphere when evening meetings run late. We can configure the room to suit your needs, whether that's boardroom style for 20, theatre layout for up to 35, or a more relaxed cabaret arrangement for 21. The high ceilings give even larger groups room to breathe, while maintaining the intimate feel that makes conversations flow naturally. For training sessions, we accommodate 14 in classroom style, or 18 in U-shape when you need everyone to see each other clearly. The fireplace isn't just decorative, it anchors the room and provides a natural focal point for presentations. Our AV equipment integrates discretely without disrupting the period features, and yes, the WiFi reaches every corner despite those solid Victorian walls. Located in our main house, the Sitting Room offers all the conveniences you'd expect, with easy access to our other facilities and refreshment areas. The Surrey countryside location means a peaceful environment for focused work, while our ample parking removes any arrival stress for your attendees. For private dining events, we can accommodate 30 guests in banquet style, or extend to 40 for standing receptions where the room's proportions really come into their own.
