Lecture Theatre
About Lecture Theatre
301 Theatre
The Lecture Theatre in our converted 1889 church building brings together centuries of architectural heritage with everything you need for modern presentations. Three hundred and one tiered seats rise beneath soaring arched windows, where morning light streams across the original stonework during early sessions, and afternoon sun creates dramatic patterns that shift throughout your event. We've preserved the church's remarkable acoustics, which means your speakers won't struggle to be heard, even in the back rows. The tiered seating arrangement ensures every delegate has an unobstructed view of both the presenter and our multiple projection screens. Our technical setup includes a PC workstation at the podium, data-video projector, and a full PA system with wireless microphones that we'll help you test before your session begins. The high ceilings create an airy atmosphere that helps maintain energy levels during intensive training days or lengthy conferences. We regularly welcome academic symposiums where researchers present their findings, corporate teams running strategy sessions, and professional bodies hosting certification workshops. The space works particularly well for keynote presentations, panel discussions, and any event where you need your audience focused on a central stage area. Between sessions, delegates often comment on the unique character of the space, how the blend of historic architecture and contemporary technology creates an environment quite different from typical conference venues. The surrounding Hillhead neighbourhood provides plenty of lunch options within walking distance, and our central campus location means good transport links for attendees coming from across Glasgow and beyond. Our team understands the specific requirements of professional meetings, from ensuring your presentations display correctly to managing lighting levels for note-taking. The Lecture Theatre transforms what could be routine presentations into engaging experiences within this distinctive architectural setting.
