Our 1878 building on Grosvenor Street has been Manchester's creative heartbeat for generations, and we're thrilled to share it with you for your next party. The Deaf Institute spans three floors, each with its own personality and bar, plus two outdoor terraces where guests can catch their breath between dancing. The Music Hall upstairs is where the magic happens – our famous domed ceiling curves above the stage, and when that massive mirror ball starts spinning, the whole room transforms. We can fit 260 of your friends standing, and the tiered seating gives everyone a great view. Your party gets exclusive use of this floor, including your own private bar, professional PA and lighting system, smoking area, and dedicated toilets. Down on the ground floor, The Lodge brings its own character with our recently renovated stage and tiered seating arrangement. We've kept the original features that make this space special while adding a private bar and full sound system. It's brilliant for 130 standing guests who want something a bit different from your typical party venue. For more intimate celebrations, The Den in our basement is a proper hidden gem. This quirky space has its own bar and sound system, creating the perfect atmosphere for 50 close friends to party away from the crowds. We've hosted everything from wild birthday parties to elegant wedding receptions, and our event managers know exactly how to bring your vision to life. Our sound technicians handle all the technical details, we've got DJ equipment ready to go, and our catering partners can sort everything from canapés to full dinners. Need visuals?
