About Fora - Black and White
We're proud to house our workspace in the Black & White Building on Rivington Street, where Shoreditch's furniture manufacturing heritage meets contemporary office design. The building stands as central London's tallest mass timber structure, with timber shading fins across the façade that naturally regulate light and temperature throughout the day. Walking through our space, you'll notice the exposed timber beams and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood each floor with natural light. The original high ceilings from the building's 18th-century furniture and printing trade days create an open, breathing workspace that our members particularly appreciate. We've configured the building across four floors to include private offices, dedicated coworking areas, three meeting rooms, and a boardroom equipped with modern presentation technology. Our ground floor houses the ClubRooms coworking space, where freelancers and small teams work alongside each other. For focused calls, we've installed soundproof phone booths throughout the building. Health-conscious professionals make good use of our yoga and barre studio, plus the shower facilities and 94 bike parking spaces we maintain for cycling commuters. The real highlight sits at the top - our communal roof terrace offers views across East London's skyline. Members regularly host informal meetings here, and we've seen everything from team workshops to evening networking events make use of the space. Five additional terraces across the building provide outdoor breaks without leaving the premises. Getting here couldn't be easier - Shoreditch High Street station is a four-minute walk, with Old Street seven minutes away and Hoxton eight. The surrounding streets offer plenty of lunch options, from quick coffee spots to proper sit-down restaurants.
