About Ham Polo Club
The grapevines that twist through our Clubhouse ceiling have been growing since Ham Polo Club first opened its doors in 1926. As London's last remaining polo club, we've watched the city change around us while maintaining the character that makes this eight-mile journey from Hyde Park Corner worth every minute. Our Clubhouse transforms beautifully for weddings and celebrations. We can seat 160 guests beneath those historic vines for dinner, or welcome up to 260 for drinks and canapés. The room fills with natural light during summer weddings, while winter parties feel intimate with the warm glow of evening lights reflecting off the polished wood. Step onto our Roof Top Terrace and you'll understand why couples often pause their photos here—the view stretches across our polo grounds toward Richmond. From May through September, we extend the terrace with a stretch marquee, creating an indoor-outdoor flow that works perfectly for wedding breakfasts or evening receptions. For truly grand celebrations, our Marquee Site accommodates up to 1,000 guests, giving you the polo grounds as your backdrop. Vanilla Bean, our in-house caterers, know every corner of our spaces. They've perfected the timing of canapés on the terrace at sunset and understand exactly how to serve a wedding breakfast in the Clubhouse to keep conversation flowing. Their team has been with us long enough to anticipate what works—from corporate dinners to wedding feasts. We're easy to reach from central London, yet once you turn onto Petersham Road and see the polo fields open up, the city feels wonderfully distant. Our grounds offer that rare combination: the accessibility your guests need with the sense of escape your celebration deserves.
