The moment you step through our stone archway into King's Manor's courtyard, you'll understand why businesses choose this 16th-century building for their important meetings. We're right in York's city centre on Exhibition Square, making it easy for your delegates to reach us—just a short walk from York Railway Station. Our building has quite a story. Built originally for the Abbots of St Mary's Abbey, we've been hosting gatherings in these walls for centuries. Today, we welcome up to 100 delegates for conferences and training sessions, though we're equally comfortable arranging smaller meetings for just a handful of people. The Huntingdon Room remains one of our most popular spaces—its 16th-century character creates an atmosphere you won't find in a typical conference centre. For larger groups, our 17th-century Refectory works beautifully, and both rooms come fully equipped with everything you need: PCs, projectors, screens, and laptop connections already set up and ready to go. Our catering team can serve up to 90 delegates, and they've won awards for good reason. Whether you need working lunches, formal dinners, or coffee breaks throughout the day, they'll work with your schedule and requirements. The Refectory Café provides a relaxed space for informal discussions between sessions. We host all kinds of professional gatherings here—board meetings, training days, corporate conferences, and strategic planning sessions. The Grade I listed status means we maintain the building's historic features while ensuring all the modern functionality your meeting requires. The courtyard offers a peaceful break area where delegates can step outside between sessions, particularly appreciated during longer training days or intensive workshops.
