At Kitchen Table, we've created something special on Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia - a place where dinner becomes theater and every seat has the best view in the house. Our horseshoe-shaped counter wraps around the kitchen, putting you right at the heart of the action as Chef James Knappett and our team prepare your meal just inches away. We change our Modern British tasting menu daily, building each dish around a single hero ingredient. One night we might showcase the sweetness of hand-dived scallops, the next could feature wild deer from Scotland or winter truffles from Wiltshire. This approach lets us work with whatever's at its absolute peak - the oysters that arrived this morning, the mushrooms foraged yesterday. The evening starts in our lounge, where we serve the first few bites alongside cocktails we make using our own spirits and liqueurs. Once everyone's settled in, we move through to the main counter for the rest of the experience. Our sommelier pairs each course with wines from our collection, including some remarkable Grower Champagnes we've been collecting for years. For private events, we can accommodate your entire group around our counter - there's something about sharing this kind of meal together that brings people closer. We've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to corporate celebrations, and each time the format creates natural conversation as guests watch us work and taste things they've never tried before. We keep things smart casual here - comfortable enough to enjoy yourself but special enough to mark the occasion.
