About Leeds City Museum
Brodrick Hall makes quite an impression when you first walk in. We've hosted everything from 50-person board meetings to 220-guest conferences here at Leeds City Museum, right on Millennium Square. The soaring ceilings and Victorian architecture create a completely different atmosphere from your typical meeting room - our regulars tell us it helps people think differently. For business meetings, we usually recommend our Thoresby Room or Denny Room. The Thoresby seats up to 70 and features this incredible large-scale mural by Ekaterina Sheath that always gets people talking during coffee breaks. Our Denny Room works perfectly for smaller groups of up to 50, with its own distinctive mural showcasing objects from Henry Denny's collection - he was our first curator back in the day. Both rooms come with projection equipment, audio systems, and complimentary Wi-Fi that actually works reliably. What sets us apart for meetings is the museum setting itself. During breaks, attendees can wander through our galleries filled with fascinating objects from around the world. We can arrange guided tours if you want to incorporate that into your agenda - it's a great icebreaker or team-building element. The balcony space above Brodrick Hall adds another 130-person capacity and works brilliantly for breakout sessions or networking. Our café stays open during events, serving proper coffee and a good range of food throughout the day. We've got accessible toilets on every floor and a Changing Places facility on the third floor. The whole building is wheelchair accessible - we made sure of that during our last renovation. Whether you're planning a conference, trade show, business meeting, or even a children's party or performance, we've got the flexibility to make it work. Being right in the city center means your attendees can easily get here by train, bus, or car.
