Down on the lower ground floor, right next to the Life on Earth gallery, the Denny Room offers something refreshingly different for your meetings. We've found that the mural covering one wall, featuring objects from Henry Denny's collection (our first curator), tends to spark interesting conversations before sessions even begin. Local illustrator Ekaterina Sheath created this piece specifically for us, and it gives the room real character. The space works beautifully for different meeting styles. We can set it up boardroom-style for 24 people when you need everyone around one table, theatre-style for presentations to 60, or U-shaped for 18 when discussion is key. Those large windows bring in plenty of natural light throughout the day, which keeps everyone alert and engaged, especially during those longer sessions. All the technical essentials are here and working properly: projection equipment for presentations, audio systems that reach every corner of the room, and Wi-Fi that won't let you down mid-video call. We've also installed an induction loop system for anyone using hearing aids. What makes meetings here particularly effective is the museum setting itself. During coffee breaks, your group can step out and explore our galleries, perhaps taking a quick look at the Life on Earth exhibition right next door. It's a natural conversation starter and helps clear heads between intensive discussions. Many groups tell us this change of scenery helps them approach problems from fresh angles. Our café remains open during your booking, serving proper coffee and food throughout the day. The building has accessible toilets on every floor, plus a Changing Places facility on level three. Getting here couldn't be easier, with Millennium Square just outside and excellent transport links from across Leeds.
