About Longfield Hall
Step through the red-brick archway of Longfield Hall and you'll find yourself in one of SE5's most characterful party venues. We've been hosting celebrations in this Grade II-listed Victorian building since 1889, and our three distinct spaces each bring their own personality to your event. Our Upper Hall draws party planners who need room to breathe - the space holds up to 150 standing guests and has witnessed everything from milestone birthday bashes to wedding receptions. The original Victorian features create natural conversation starters, while our kitchen facilities mean your caterers can work their magic on-site. We keep our alcohol license running until 11:30pm (10pm on Sundays), giving your celebration proper momentum. Downstairs, our Lower Hall works brilliantly for those planning something more intimate. With space for 80 standing guests, we often see cocktail parties and anniversary celebrations here. The acoustics lend themselves well to live music too - something about those Victorian walls just makes everything sound better. When you need something cosier, our Minet Room accommodates 25 people and creates that close-knit atmosphere perfect for surprise parties or family gatherings. We've kept the practical stuff simple: Wi-Fi throughout, wheelchair access via our ramps, accessible toilets on the ground floor. You're welcome to bring in your preferred caterers - we find most people have someone specific in mind. The kitchen has decent prep space with standard equipment ready to go. What makes parties work here is the building itself. Those high ceilings in the Upper Hall give a sense of occasion without trying too hard.
