About Mary Ward House Conference Centre
Mary Ward House Conference Centre sits proudly on Tavistock Place in Bloomsbury, where we've been hosting meetings and conferences since 1898. Our Grade I listed building tells its own story through every room - from the original wood paneling in the committee rooms to the soaring ceilings of Mary Ward Hall. We manage over 13 distinct spaces here, each carrying its own personality shaped by more than a century of gatherings. The Mary Ward Hall remains our crown jewel, welcoming up to 500 delegates under its impressive vaulted ceiling. For smaller groups, we often recommend the Voysey Room, where French doors open directly onto our courtyard - perfect when your meeting needs a breath of fresh air between sessions. That courtyard and garden have become something of a talking point. In the middle of Bloomsbury, we've preserved this green space where delegates can actually hear birds instead of traffic during their coffee breaks. Our recent guests particularly appreciated being able to spread their networking reception into this outdoor area, making the most of both spaces. Every room benefits from generous windows - a deliberate feature from our 1898 architects that means you're working with natural light throughout the day. We've carefully updated the building with contemporary necessities like reliable Wi-Fi across all spaces and video conferencing equipment, plus our natural cooling system keeps rooms comfortable without the drone of air conditioning. Our spaces adapt well to different formats - from traditional boardroom setups in our wood-paneled rooms to exhibition layouts in the main hall. We regularly host corporate conferences, training sessions, AGMs, and strategy meetings, with some groups booking quarterly returns once they've experienced the building's atmosphere. The combination of historical architecture and practical modern facilities seems to create an environment where productive work happens naturally.

The room we had was lovely - a little small but we were able to spread out into the courtyard, so that was great. Staff on site were 100% helpful and professional the whole day. Will definitely use again.
